The dark leaves add variety and interest to its green leafed neighbors. In rich soil it grows three to four feet tall and will need staking. It will be shorter, at 2½ to 3 feet tall in average soil. This grows well in a garden that has a clay type of soil. USDA Hardiness Zones 4 -9.
