How to order Orders can be placed by mail, by telephone and by ordering online.
Payment methods Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards are accepted. Also with a check or money order.
Telephone orders Call (360) 775-1737 to place an order by telephone. If calling during the months of March, April or May, please understand that you may have to leave a message on our answering machine. It's our busiest time of the year. We will return your call.
Mail orders 1. Print out the order form or use your own page.
  2. Fill out with appropriate info.
    3. Mail completed form with payment, or credit card number.
When we ship Although there isn't a place on our shopping cart to request a shipping date, if you have a date in mind, we would like to know what it is. To request a specific ship date, please send us an email. Orders can be sent anytime you would like, during the three seasons of fall, winter and spring. Or you can leave this to us, and we will choose a date that is appropriate for your climate.
How we ship We ship using both the U.S. Postal Service and UPS. Orders are sent early in the week. The plants are carefully wrapped to arrive in good condition.
Shipping date If you wish to receive your order during a specific week, please note this on the order form, or if you are ordering on-line tell us in an email. Otherwise we will schedule shipment for what seems an appropriate date for your climate. You can trust us not to send plants too early in the spring if you live in a cooler part of the country (unless you request it), or sending plants too late in spring if you live where it is warmer. In the fall, these guidelines are reversed, shipping earlier to cooler regions, so the plants have enough time to become well rooted before cold weather arrives.
Acknowlegement of order Receipt of an order is acknowledged by email or by postcard (for those customers who do not give us an email address) within a few days.
Overseas orders and
   ordering from Canada
 If you are ordering from outside the United States, it's better if you send us an email of the plants you want instead of ordering on-line from our website.
   Our plants can be sent to gardeners outside the United States. A Phytosanitary Certificate is required. Its cost seems high for just a few plants, although its cost doesn't go up with more plants being inspected. In the past we've been willing to send plants first and bill later for the “phyto.” We've learned the hard way, that we must ask for this amount up-front, and will return any excess after the plants are shipped. Because the inspector only comes here once every few weeks, you need to be flexible as to when your plants are shipped.
   As of this writing in June 2016, plants have been sent internationally to customers in such places as Canada, Japan and Germany and each of these customers has been pleased with the plants they have received from us. Plants are guaranteed to arrive in good condition, and we will refund their purchase price if they do not, although we cannot refund the cost of the postage or phytosanitary certificate.

Guarantee: Our responsibility as a mail order nursery is to grow plants and pack them carefully so that they reach you in the best condition to grow successfully in your garden. If we fail to do this and you are in any way dissatisfied with your order, please let us know and we will correct the problem immediately.
